The Antichrist

First published in 1895, ‘The Antichrist’ it is an absolute onslaught on Christianity instead of an explanation on evil or Satan by Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosopher, cultural critic and philologist whose work has exerted a profound influence on contemporary philosophical history. Nietzsche delivers a highly controversial view of Christianity as a harmful impact upon western civilization that must come to an end. Regardless of one’s religious or philosophical point of view, it makes for an engaging philosophical discourse. In this book, Nietzsche is very critical of standardized religion and its priest class, from which he himself was dropped.
