Rudy and the Milky Way is a new collection of poems by Hryhorii Falkovych, one of the most popular children's authors in Ukraine. As a beloved pet, Rudy experiences the war along with the humans around him: in times of danger, he runs to shelter; he cheers for 'all-clear' signals; he supports his fellow refugees, making friends with local dogs and getting to know cats and birds; he watches TV; he walks with his master through the streets of the old city of Kolomyia; he thinks about difficult life problems and dreams of victory and peace, of human and canine happiness.
