'Persuasion' is the last novel completed by the esteemed English writer Jane Austen (1775–1817). It was published at the end of 1817, six months after her death.
This is the story of Ann Elliott, a young Englishwoman, whose family moves to reduce their expenses and get rid of debt. They rent their apartment to the admiral and his wife. The wife’s brother, Navy Captain Frederick Wentworth, was once engaged to Anne, and now they are reunited after a seven-year separation, both single and unmarried. This is a second chance at love and marriage for Anne.
